In the later years of Nelson Mandela’s life, he produced a number of art works which reflected back on his remarkable life journey. Among these was a set of 6 pieces collectively called the Struggle Series.
In 2004 a selection of artists from across the globe were invited to collaborate with Nelson Mandela by adding their hand to this set. The resulting works became known as the Unity Series.
Since Nelson Mandela’s passing, it has fallen on his eldest daughter, Dr. Makaziwe Mandela, to honour her father by presenting this unique collaboration to the world.
Amongst the works released is Lené Pienaar's original Unity Series oil paintings along with a limited edition of 95 sets of numbered, signed and authenticated print reproductions.

LENÉ'S FIRST BOOK IS RELEASED
God Came Running explores the endless love of God through two journeys – one of a lady named Jasmine Spencer in a war with darkness, the second tale is that of our Lord's crucifixion. With both stories being relayed through the eyes of angels, demons and people alike, this is a fascinating, spiritual look at the hand of God in our lives.

UNITY SERIES LAUNCHED
After being stored in the Mandela family vaults for more than 10 years, the Unity Series has finally been launch. The unique project involved leading artists from all corner's of the globe, Lené Pienaar one of those invited to participate.
